Meet Chris

Author.  Educator, Speaker

Chris is an educator and speaker from Fond du Lac. With a career in education spanning three decades, Chris brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to his work exploring the presence of God in music and movies.

Certified in St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body from the Theology of the Body Institute in Pennsylvania, Chris has developed a unique understanding of the human person and our relationship with God. He applies this knowledge to uncover spiritual truths hidden within the lyrics and melodies of the songs we already have in our playlists.

Chris's specialty lies in finding God in the music and movies we love. From the classic rock of Fleetwood Mac and U2 to the heartland anthems of Bob Segar, from the sounds of Peter Gabriel to the operatic majesty of Pavarotti and the country twang of Blake Shelton, Chris demonstrates that it's nearly impossible for artists to create lyrics and music without tapping into the deep desires of their hearts - and it's precisely in these desires that we find echoes of our beginnings.

What sets Chris apart is his ability to use music as a bridge to faith. He helps those who are strong in their faith, struggling with their faith, those who have no faith, or those who have fallen away from their beliefs. By pointing to music as a starting point, Chris illuminates how God is constantly seeking us through the lyrics of songs we know and love. This approach offers a unique and accessible pathway for people to reconnect with or discover faith, using the universal language of music as a guide.

A devoted family man, Chris has been married for 29 years and is a father of four. He resides in Wisconsin, where he continues to inspire others with his unique blend of faith, music, and cultural insight. Chris's work reminds us that the search for meaning and connection - the very essence of our spiritual journey - is often reflected in the art that moves us most deeply.

Whether he's analyzing lyrics, dissecting film scenes, or drawing parallels between pop culture and theology, Chris McGalloway offers a fresh, engaging perspective on faith that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds. His mission is to help others recognize the divine fingerprints in the culture around us, fostering a deeper appreciation for both art and spirituality.
